How do you like them apples?

Welp, here goes nothing...

I'm ripping off the band-aid- writing my first NYC blog post of the summer!  I'm diving in. Although it feels more like I'm being thrown in the pool and that's how I'll figure out how to swim.

One thing I know about myself is that I am a "list person."  I create color-coded google calendars that come out looking like rubics cubes, and believe it or not, I will actually add a completed task to my hand-written to-do list just for the satisfaction of crossing it off.  However, because I enjoy finishing projects and feeling productive and accomplished, it's very difficult for me to start things without knowing when (or even if!) they will get the celebratory scratch of completion.  Those long-term projects just tend to sit on my to-do list, day after day, week after week, collecting dust like old toys.  I see them,  I just don't want to deal with them.  This blog has been one of those items I've been avoiding.  But here I am, dusting it off.  I've redesigned my page and am ready to share about my first 2 weeks in the Big Apple!  Now how do you like them apples?

First of all, I hope you like my new blog layout...title inspired by last summer's: "Follow me to OCMD!"  The background is actually the view from the window of my loft apartment- the New York Curb Market Building, built in 1920.  Cool, right?!

My dilemma at this point is that I've been waiting so long to post because I don't know what to share, but the longer I wait, the more things happen that I haven't written about yet!  There's just so much going on!  Please please PLEASE leave some requests in the comment boxes at the bottom as to things you'd like to hear about.  This will help me greatly to be able to focus my posts (not to mention create small items of which I can easily cross off my list!).

For now, I'll leave you with just a few pics that I've taken so far while traversing around the city.
