One Week To Go!...

Hello to my first blog entry EVER. :)

Well...today marks 7 days 'til I leave for Ocean City, Maryland!  How exciting!  I am so blessed to be able to say that the Lord has provided me with full support for my trip! Woo!  That is one HUGE to-do I can scratch off my list.  So THANK YOU to all of you who have been able to financially support me!

Now, these last seven days of preparation are bound to bring about many inevitable challenges.  So many of my peers have expressed on our group Facebook page that they are struggling with feelings of anxiety and doubt in what God will do with them this summer.  Many are nervous to leave their friends and family for 10 whole weeks.  But others are really struggling to raise their support and have even considered backing out of the trip.

Please please pleeeease continue to keep us all in your prayers.  I know that God has put this summer project on the hearts of us 40 college students with good intentions.  I mean why wouldn't He?! Why wouldn't He want us to spend an entire summer serving Him and growing in a strong community of believers that will surely build us up to go out and serve the broken?

1 John 5:14-15 says, "And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.  And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him." So in a roundabout way... if it is in God's plan for these thirty-sum other students to join me in Ocean City this summer (as I believe it is because it's for His glory) then I can trust that God will pull through and make it happen.

However we have to "ASK...according to His will" which means we need your prayers!  Please keep them coming! We greatly appreciate it.

Alright well on that note...I will close us out with a little jam I heard for the first time on K-Love today.  I thought the whole R&B/auto-tune vibe gave a nice twist to some solid worship.  Enjoy and thanks for following! :)
